There is a moment in every Balenciaga season when the conversation shifts from what the clothes mean to how they feel on a body. The Spring/Summer 2026 collection, shown in Paris in January and now arriving in Madrid, is one of those collections that rewards that shift. On the runway, the oversized tailoring and structural knitwear looked demanding. In the showroom, worn by actual people in actual light, they look extraordinary.
The Madrid showroom is installed in the upper floor of the Serrano flagship, a space that Balenciaga redesigned in 2024 to function as both retail and — for certain appointments — something closer to a private salon. For the SS26 presentation, the space has been dressed with raw concrete panels and a single large-format photograph from the Paris show. The effect is deliberately spare. The clothes are the point.
The collection’s key pieces for this season include a restructured trench coat in a pale cement linen, a series of column dresses in the house’s signature dense jersey, and — the piece that is already generating the longest waiting list — a fitted blazer in an ivory wool crêpe that photographs as though it were made of light.
Appointments for the Madrid showroom are available through the Serrano flagship. Priority will be given to existing clients. For new enquiries, contact the boutique directly — appointments for May and June are already limited.
